Public Sector Sustainable
Development Group
for Hampshire
The Public Sector Sustainable Development Group (PSSDG) for
Hampshire, in collaboration the the Natural Resources Initiative, has
been established to assist in the integration of the Government's
Strategy for Sustainable Development within Public Sector organisations
based in or around the County of Hampshire. The Group aims to
assist members in their sustainable development activities,
demonstrating a balanced approach across social, environmental and
economic issues.
This group consists of approximately 25 members from 19 public sector
bodies; including representatives from Hampshire Fire and Rescue,
Hampshire's Primary Care Trusts, Hampshire Constabulary and Local Authorities. The Group
meets quarterly to discuss their sustainability practices and share best
practice. The meetings are often an opportunity to hear about new
opportunities or ways of working and usually involve presentation
by an external body. This group has been running for approximately
