Is your staff energy efficient?

Solent Energy Efficiency offers FREE advice to companies who want to raise their environmental profile and help employees saving energy and money at home and at work.

If you are looking for new ideas to raise your environmental profile and help your staff becoming more energy efficient here is your chance to do it.

The Solent Energy Efficiency Advice Centre has already given advice to almost 1000 employees in Hampshire over the last year on how they can save energy in their homes. Companies are in fact increasingly more committed in supporting their workforce in becoming more energy efficient.

The Business Road Show is designed to inform employees about the importance and benefits of being energy efficient in their homes. Energy Advisors give advice on how they can save up to £200 on their domestic fuel bills by implementing energy saving measures.

The event aims in fact to encourage employees to adopt similar measures in the work place through raising personal awareness of energy efficiency.

During the road show we offer:

• A FREE low energy light bulb worth £60 saving over a 6 years lifespan to each employee that fills in a Home Energy Check questionnaire.
• Home Energy Checks. This is in the form of a questionnaire, which leads to a report tailored to the individuals home. It identifies action points for saving energy and money in the home and provides information on grants and help available.
• Impartial advice from qualified Energy Advisors on how being more energy efficient around the home. We also offer advice on grants and discounts available to help people install energy efficiency measures. Information on renewable energy systems is also available.

Following the road show, a report will be sent to the company detailing the success of the day and the savings that your employees might have made. This can be distributed to staff, letting them know how they have played their part in saving energy, money and the environment. This service would be particularly beneficial to those companies accredited to, or seeking accreditation to ISO14001.

Raising energy efficiency awareness amongst employees can help businesses improving their environmental performance and lead to significant financial savings. Potentially a company’s fuel bill could be slashed by 15%.
