The Hampshire Pilot WEEE De-manufacturing Facility Project
28 February and 1 March 2006
If you are a Producer, Retailer or user of electrical and electronic equipment then the WEEE Directive applies to you.
The Hampshire Natural Resources Trust has undertaken a project to facilitate research and development into implementing the WEEE Directive.
The specific areas of interest have been:
- To explore options and logistics for separate collection of WEEE goods to meet the EU
Directive targets;
- To identify and pilot options for mechanisation technology in the de-manufacturing
process to improve cost efficiency and recovery rates; and
- To develop and demonstrate how WEEE de-manufacturing can provide quality skills
- training and work experience to people to meet social objectives.
The project team now wish to present their findings with a number of half day events.
