Hampshire Business Goes Greener...A Hampshire recycling business has gone even greener, thanks to the loan of a battery-powered van. Hampshire County Council has handed over the special van to Bishop's Waltham-based Dove Recycling as part of a special project co-financed by the EU. Council bosses have a fleet of six alternative fuel vehicles which can be loaned out for several weeks at a time under the MIRACLES project. Environment Cabinet Councillor Keith Estlin said: "There's a common misconception that alternative fuel vehicles are difficult to drive or refuel, but that simply isn't the case. We all need to work in a more sustainable manner, and local businesses are well placed to lead the way. I'm very pleased to see Dove Recycling taking the message to heart."
