Material Resources Strategy

Workshop 3

The Material Resources Strategy (MRS) is looking at the use of all material resources, including municipal, construction, commercial and agricultural waste.  It will start tackling Hampshire's waste problem by minimising the extraction and production of primary resources, by better process and sustainable product design, and by maximising the use of secondary (or recycled) materials.

The 3rd workshop on 31st March will be great opportunity for you to get involved in this revolutionary new project which is at the forefront of new national resource management schemes. It will enable you to discuss issues which are important to you and which effect your everyday life, as well as helping businesses change their practices to be more sustainable and as a result save money in the long-term. There will be two main speakers addressing the workshop who will be demonstrating how they have done this and how it has saved them a lot of money.

We will be concentrating on how we can best change the views and opinions in relation to sustainable design, production and consumption and examine how we can maximise the recovery process. In attendance on the day we will have various experts to discuss and advise on what is possible and how best this can physically be done. It will be an exciting and highly informative event with exhibits and demonstrations to show how you can really make a difference. Don’t miss this opportunity!

For further information on the workshop, or to be added to the MRS mailing list to be kept up to date with the latest news and events, please contact Emily Trevorrow at Entec on 020 7843 1412 or email: treve@entecuk.co.uk.   Please also visit the MRS website on www.mrs-hampshire.org.uk
